Imagine the Polish President opening a saloon in a basement below Parliament. And a famous singer being a waitress there. And “front bench ” politicians stroling down to the saloon for a drink, and – maybe – to do a deal…
Almost everybody is sick and tired of politics and politicians. In this political weeklyshow the authors – well-known newspaper columnist, satirical writers, and journalists – with the help of computer animators and creators of caricatures and comic strips,have created animated look-alikes of Polish politicians and celebrities.
They all meet in the saloon in the basement of the Polish parliament building, open only to Members of Parliament and a very few of their guests. In a loose and relaxed atmosphere they talk, drink, corrupt and bribe each other, try strike some shady deals, and – most of all – think how the hell to get elected next term! All characters appearing on the show and the issues they talk about relate to real-life situations.
Thanks to state-of-the-art motion capture technology (the only such innovation in Central Europe) all animation and voiceovers are being created and recorded in real time. It allows us to shorten the production process to a minimum giving the show the character of a weekly news program.
The show has been scheduled for a weekend prime time slot, right after the flagshipnews broadcast on TVP 1 (the Polish public broadcaster), where it will be as an additional weekly political commentary show.
