Wynalazcy przyszłości: ATM Grupa S.A.’s new show kicks off January 6 on Canal+ Discovery

Polish scientists score spectacular successes on the international stage, and it is mostly outside Poland that they are known and appreciated. The captivating 10-episode documentary series for Canal+ Discovery showcases Polish scientists and their inventions and discoveries that will revolutionize the world, ranging from houses and vehicles to health care, hobbies and entertainment to space exploration. The series Wynalazcy przyszłości (Inventors of the Future) is hosted by Aleksandra Ziembińska Buczyńska and Marek Kotelnicki. Premiere episodes air each Wednesday at 9 p.m. from January 6 on Canal+ Discovery.

Wynalazcy przyszłości (Inventors of the Future) is a 10-episode documentary series taking viewers on a fascinating journey into the world of Polish scientists, discoverers and experimenters whose amazing creations are ahead of their time.

It is a show about extraordinary people (many of whom are better known outside Poland) for whom science is a passion, joy and challenge. Their dreams to improve the world turn into reality and change the lives of millions.

The hosts, Ola Ziembińska-Buczyńska and Marek Kotelnicki, guide viewers  through the world of Polish science. Each episode sees them visit celebrated scientists from leading centers located throughout Poland. The journey also offers insights into the workings of great minds. Along with the hosts, we take a behind-the-curtain peek at the inventors and their work, witnessing the making of the most interesting Polish discoveries.

The road to success is often fraught with setbacks, but the outcomes are hugely impressive. The inventions seen and tested by the hosts look line gadgets from sci-fi movies. The include: an active camouflage system; a Cyber Eye, which can be used by paralyzed people to communicate with the outside world, enabling them to express themselves in full sentences; the Scubaphone, a device that makes it possible to talk freely under water, taking its cue from seals; an innovative electronic RPG cube poised to revolutionize the game market, the first Polish product in Apple’s offering; smart motorcycle mirrors which adjust themselves to the position of the rider, considerably boosting their safety; and an innovative blown metal technology which can be used in designer furniture and to build extremely strong objects and structures. A small chair made using this technology can hold the weight of over two tons!

All these inventions and many more are featured in the show Wynalazcy przyszłości.

Premiere episodes of the series air on CANAL+ DISCOVERY each Wednesday at 9 p.m. from January 6.

Wynalazcy przyszłości is produced by Discovery Networks and executively produced by ATM Grupa S.A.
