The series Prokurator (Prosecutor), written by the Miłoszewski brothers and helmed by Jacek Filipiak and Maciej Pieprzyca, aired in fall 2015 on TVP2. Its central characters are prosecutor Kazimierz Proch (Jacek Koman), a consummate professional who has no equal in his field, and his polar opposite, live-wire police officer Witold Kielak (Wojciech Zieliński). The series was filmed in Warsaw, with locations including the Warsaw Rising Museum, the Warsaw ZOO and Bar Bambino.
The series will vie for a Prix Europa prize against 24 other European productions.
Founded in 1987 and presented by the European Broadcasting Festival, Prix Europa is one of the foremost European TV awards. The 30th anniversary edition of the prize has attracted over 600 entries from more than 260 European organizations in 35 countries. The award gala is scheduled to take place on the evening of 21 October in Berlin.
