Shooting has started: in the pipeline there is another season of the show in which celebrities of the world of show business talk about interesting personalities and historical events… while slightly drunk. The new episodes will star Katarzyna Warnke, Ryszard Kalisz, Joanna Kołaczkowska, Tomasz Karolak and Aleksander Milwiw-Baron. ATM GRUPA remains in charge of executive production.
Comedy Central Poland began the shooting process for the second season of the globally-popular format “Drunk History”. In the new episodes of its Polish edition movie stars, TV personalities, musicians, showbusiness celebrities and popular politicians will amuse us with squiffy anecdotes illustrating the history of Poland and the lives of famous people. The viewers will, for example, hear about Napoleon Bonaparte’s famous affair with a Polish dame, and about Wojtek the bear, companion of the soldiers of General Władysław Anders’ army during WWII. We will also be able to learn how Władysław Łokietek became king, and why Tadeusz Kościouszko chose to support the Americans in their struggle for independence.
All the stories, so expressively narrated, are then going to be faithfully turned into costume performances. Actors and special guests starring as historical characters are going to be faced with a tough challenge. Their acting and dialogues will have to faithfully reflect the, often somewhat blurry, narration. The channel’s officials revealed that the episodes of the second season are going to star, among others, Katarzyna Warnke, Ryszard Kalisz, Joanna Kołaczkowska, Tomasz Karolak and Aleksander Milwiw-Baron.
The director of the second season of Drunk History – Pół litra historii is Jan Macierewicz.
The executive producer is, as before, ATM Grupa SA. The show is scheduled to open in the autumn.
