Airing since November 2008 on TVP1, the crime and drama series Ojciec Mateusz (Father Matthew), with Artur Żmijewski in the eponymous role, is still going strong. The first episode of the 15th season, aired on March 3, drew 4,442,000 viewers and a 27.8 rating, making it the most watched television show of the day.

The first episode of the 15th season attracted more viewers than the first episode of the previous season. On September 3, 2015, the adventures of Mateusz Żmigrodzki were watched by 4,171,000 viewers (27.1 share).

The high ratings of Ojciec Mateusz were one of the factors that made TVP1 the channel of first choice on March 3, with the average share of 15 percent in the 4+ demographic.

Ojciec Mateusz is the Polish version of the Italian series Don Matteo. The 15th season of the Sandomierz-based series where criminals are pursued not only by a dedicated team of police officers but also by a priest sleuth, sees the addition of new characters: inspector Antoni Dziubak (Bartłomiej Firlet) and chief inspector Aleksander Morus (Redbad Klynstra).
